Remembering

William came into my room this morning as I was watching a 9/11 tribute on television. He asked, "What happened to the buildings?" I tried to explain in the most elementary way that some really bad people did a really bad thing and hurt a lot of people. He asked if the people died. I told him a lot of people did, but that was 7 years ago and we are very safe today. He then asked if any mommies died. Wow. That really broke my heart. I then explained how our very brave firemen, policemen, and soldiers worked so hard to keep us safe and to help everyone they could that day.
